Laura Gareau Sanchez is the Chief Operating Officer and co-Founder of RFS Energy, where she channels nearly 25 years of experience in environmental advocacy focused on clean energy and climate action. With a knack for bringing people together and securing essential funding, she has spearheaded successful climate and energy initiatives from coast to coast.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Laura is a settler of mixed European and Acadian descent whose worldview was broadened by living in Chile as a child and all across so-called Canada throughout her career. Fluent in three languages and a natural team builder who is dedicated to community-driven solutions, Laura blends her passions for family, travel, local food, and data-driven strategies to create tangible and lasting results for sustainability.
